Press Release: Agency shares fruits of success

Newmarket lettings agency Lemontree Properties is celebrating securing its 200th managed property by making a donation to a local charity.

Having reached the major milestone in its portfolio growth, the agency based on Old Station Road has donated £200 to Newmarket Open Door’s 'Cook4a£' programme, which assists young adults how to shop and cook on a low budget. Earlier this week the lettings experts presented a cheque to the charity, which provides vulnerable young people with supported housing, food and training opportunities.

Lemontree director Beth Barnham said: “I am very proud to have secured our 200th property and as a team we are keen to share our success by giving something back to the community. We are very mindful that many young adults are struggling to find work and a permanent roof over their heads, so we want to support Newmarket Open Door in their mission to help vulnerable people to get their lives back on track.”

Open Door was inspired and founded by the local Churches Together initiative in 1997 and now manages and provides supported housing for young single, homeless or vulnerable people aged 16-30, as well as the Charity Superstore, Training Centre and Foodbank.
John Durrant from Newmarket Open Door commented on the donation saying: “On behalf of Newmarket Open Door, our thanks go to Lemontree for their kind donation.”
